LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
June 23, 1993
Page 12
about how to restore the site, but he has not done anything
yet. Jankowski went on to state he anticipated the deadline
because we thought the permanent wetland rules would be in
place by July 1, 1993. He felt we could afford to extend the
deadline to September.
Haas noted that Andover requires that the letters of credit
they deal with are automatically renewable. If the property
owner/applicant wants his/her money he/she will take care of
things. The letter of credit keeps renewing until the city
authorizes a release.
Jankowski indicated the Sunny Ponds project is basically
complete; there needs to be one additional lift of
bituminous. The sedimentation ponds are in place and are
working. Jankowski stated he has to take a look at the
outfall from the sedimentation pond into the wetland.
Jankowski indicated he would check LRRWMO files after the
meeting to determine the exact date of expiration on the
letter of credit.
NEW BUSINESS
Contract re Secretarial Services/Billing Procedure
Not applicable due to Mikkonen's announced resignation.
Newsletter Articles Assicnment
It was determined the City of Andover representative, in this
case Todd Haas, would provide an LRRWMO newsletter article on
the new Wetland Conservation Act. Ferguson agreed to provide
an article on "Wetland Alert"; no longer is a wetland a
permitted area in which to work. These board members were
asked to submit their articles to the Administrative
Secretary for distribution to the member cities for insertion
in their city newsletters.
Banking/Mitigation Format
Mikkonen submitted a proposed record keeping form for the
purpose of maintaining records on banking and mitigation.
Schultz suggested a column be added for cease and desist
order information and to include the property P.I.N. numbers.
Haas stated he would contact Coon Creek and ask what their
procedure is.
Mikkonen was directed to send the updated format to the
Consulting Engineer for his firm's review and recommendation.
