LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
December 15, 1994
Page 12
Beduhn noted a mitigation would be needed any way and that some of the paperwork and
staying in compliance with the rules can be time consuming, but that is the process that is
needed.
Obermeyer asked if Ramsey had prepazed a feasibility report. Jankowski indicated it was
done in April or May of 1994. Obermeyer commented regarding a possible exemption from
the Conservation Act depending on the date. He also commented on an expedited process
if less than 10,000 square feet are involved.
Jankowski noted if they can get permission from the DNR then they could proceed with the
LGU permit. He commented it does not make sense to do both simultaneous if they can't
get DNR approval. Obermeyer advised that since it does not cost anything to start the
notification process with the WCA, perhaps they should be done simultaneously. He
reviewed the time involved with the comment periods and that Ramsey may want to start
with the WCA process.
Beduhn explained the need to determine the wetland boundaries. He stated he can provide
comment to the DNR, once he receives the permit application, indicating what the plans aze
for the azea under LRRWMO jurisdiction. He added that he will also review the project,
work with the boundaries to get out notices, and provide information to the DNR that this
information has been received, and the LRRWMO will be addressing the issue.
Jankowski noted this is an MSA collector street and if built without a crossing there will be
no ability to travel east/west. He supported applying for the permits and doing it right.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to adjourn the meeting. Vote: 4
ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Time of adjournment: 11:32 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Carla Wirth
Administrative Secretary
