'., <br />LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />FEBRUARY 17, 1994 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Steve Jankowski called the meeting to order at 8:37 a.m. in the Committee Room <br />of Anoka City Hall. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Voting members present were Steve Jankowski, Ramsey; Ben Ferguson, Coon Rapids; Todd <br />Haas, Andover; and John Weaver, Anoka. Absent: None. <br />Also present were Ray Schultz, Anoka Alternate; Jim Knutson, Deputy Treasurer;, and Cazla <br />Wirth, Administrative Secretary. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to approve the January 20, 1994, regular <br />meeting minutes correcting the second paragraph of Page 4 to state benthic rather than <br />bedthick, and the fourth paragraph on Page 5 to state: "Site selection was done by the <br />National Park Service and ~ and is to be one of the areas included as the <br />Mississipui National River and Recreation Area:' and paragraph seven to state: "Schultz <br />expressed concern that the Fshing shoal not be removed ..." Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion <br />carried. <br />TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Knutson presented the Treasurer's Report for the period ending January 31, 1994 as well <br />as the Treasurer's 1993 Budget Report. Account balances for the period were: Checking, <br />$10.00; interest bearing savings account, $5,844.16, less permit account balance of $4,645.86, <br />for a total available savings account balance of $1,602.99; and certificates of deposit totaling <br />$22,000.00; for a current total balance of $25,052.87. <br />Knutson noted the 1993 budget yeaz began with $15,000 in cash reserves and the ending <br />cash balance is approximately $25,000. The amount due back to permittees is $4,700 or <br />about a $5,000 cash increase. He commented on the need for a balance forwazd to cover <br />anticipated engineering costs to revise the WMO plan. An audit will be conducted during <br />April. <br />Ferguson amved at 8:45 a.m. <br />
