Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
1994 Lake Elevation Monitoring Program -Anoka Conservation District
Knutson stated information has been received from the Anoka Conservation District (ACD)
regarding the 1994 Lake Elevation Monitoring Program which has increased from
$200/lake/season to $220/lake/season.
Jankowski reported that Waste Management is conducting ground water treatment on
Sunfish Lake and he has asked Tony Brough to check on whether that will qualify for
monitoring. He explained that Waste Management's permit contains a condition that if
Sunbsh Lake drops below a certain level they will divert water through the pumpout. A
brief discussion was held regazding recovery wells on the south end of Sunfish Lake.
Weaver commented that as long as the LRRWMO has established a pattern of monitoring
the three lakes, he supports authorizing the Monitoring Program through the ACD and
delaying action on Sunfish Lake until Brough reports back.
Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to authorize the 1994 Lake Elevation
Monitoring Program by the ACD for Rogers Lake, Itaska Lake and Round Lake at a cost
not to exceed $220/lake/season and delay action regarding Sunfish Lake until Brough has
indicated whether Waste Management's monitoring qualifies. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion
carried.
The LRRWMO discussed the availability of data from the Monitoring Program and that this
data show some type of comparison with site specific rainfall. Ferguson volunteered to
compile data relating to monitoring and precipitation.
Consensus was reached to direct the Administrative Secretary to provide Ferguson with the
most recent monitoring data as published in the ACD annual report.
Weaver asked if Secchi Disc gauging was conducted last yeaz. Jankowski explained they
could not get any volunteers to take the readings so the ACD returned the fee.
Consider Resolution Desi ng ating Official Depositories and Signees
Knutson explained that adoption of a resolution designating the official depositories and
signees is required at the first meeting of every fiscal yeaz.
Ferguson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING OFFICIAL DEPOSITORIES AND SIGNEES
