LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />January 20, 1994 <br />Page 3 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consider Resolution Adopting Revised Budget for 1993 (No. 93-31 <br />Knutson reviewed Resolution No. 93-3 and explained that BWSR has indicated they prefer <br />to receive a document such as this for revising or approving the budget. He pointed out the <br />Resolution reduces engineering fees to cover the increase in legal expenses; however, the <br />'bottom line" remains the same. <br />Weaver introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION OF THE LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT <br />ORGANIZATION (LRRWMO) FOR ADOPTING A REVISED BUDGET FOR THE YEAR <br />1993. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Haas. Roll call <br />vote: Jankowski, aye; Ferguson, aye; Haas, aye; and Weaver, aye. Motion carried. <br />Consider Resolution Adopting 1994 Budget (No. 93-41 <br />Jankowski reviewed Resolution No. 93-4 and explained it will formally adopt the 1994 <br />Budget. He pointed out the assessments for member cities will need to be updated <br />according to the LRRWMO formula but the 'bottom line" of $18,200 remains the same. <br />Consensus was reached to act on Resolution No. 93-4 subject to revising the member city <br />assessments per the 1994 LRRWMO formula. <br />Ferguson introduced the following resolution (as revised) and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION OF THE LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT <br />ORGANIZATION (LRRWMO) FOR ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1994. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Haas. Shoal Removal Plans for Rum River Bridge <br />Butch Brandenburg, City of Anoka Parks Director, explained that in conjunction with the <br />Minnesota Small Mouth Bass Association, Anoka holds an annual fishing contest which <br />results in donations for improvements. They are now considering a request to remove shoal <br />material under the Main Street bridge to allow small boats to navigate to the upper pool. <br />The City would front the project cost, estimated at $4,000 to $8,000, with the Small Mouth <br />Bass Association reimbursing the cost over a period of time. He reported the Anoka <br />Council directed staff to submit an application to the DNR since dredging is involved. They <br />
