LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
August 17, 1995
Page 6
Obermeyer noted that in some cases where the City does not believe it is the proper use,
they do not see the need to require the developer to obtain the agency permits. Obermeyer
informed of Mn/DOT's position regarding the need for them to apply for permits from
LGU's. Schultz reminded that a letter was sent to Mn/DOT to inform them they would
need to apply for a LRRWMO permit for the Champlin/Anoka bridge project.
Weaver questioned whether governmental agencies are exempted from paying a permit fee
($500). Schultz noted that everyone has paid the fee in the past. Jankowski concurred and
noted the application form has been revised since the one used by Pearson when preparing
his comments.
(Action to approve subject to Engineer's recommendation taken at July 20, 1995 meeting -
no further action required.)
Coon Rapid's Representative -Ben Ferguson
The Administrative Secretary advised that Ben Ferguson, Coon Rapids representative, has
accepted a new employment position in Arizona and would no longer be available to
represent Coon Rapids on the LRRWMO.
A motion was made by.Weaver, seconded by Haas, to adjourn the meeting. Vote: 3 ayes,
0 nays. Motion carried.
Time of adjournment: 9:43 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Carla Wirth
Administrative Secretary
