~ -~
LRRWMO 2nd Generation Watershed Plan Public Input Meeting Minutes
February 22, 1996
Page 4
The unidentified gentleman suggested that limiting distribution of the Plan during the
comment period may not be wise.
Weaver reiterated that copies aze available for review at public facilities and if a great
demand is present, the LRRWMO would be hard pressed to cover the cost.
Haas advised that Andover provides the Plan for review at City Hall, or at a cost of 24 cents
a sheet, or you can make copies yourself.
QUESTION AND ANSWER
Haas stated he attended an information meeting on groundwater needs assessment and
learned there is a possibility that WMO's may be required to include something in the Plan
related to groundwater and could make mandates on the cities regarding groundwater.
Lobermeier explained it puts the groundwater responsibility with the County since they have
done the groundwater assessment and it is more of a regional issue than a watershed issue.
He suggested groundwater issues be addressed in that fashion.
Weaver thanked Lobermeier for his presentation and the audience for their attendance.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Ferguson, seconded by Haas, to adjourn the meeting. Vote: 4 ayes,
0 nays. Motion carried.
Time of adjournment: 7:35 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Carla Wirth
Administrative Secretary
n
LJ
