J <br />LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />February 15, 1996 • <br />Page 2 <br />1996 Audit Update <br />Knutson reported he called a number of local firms to request audit quotes. He reviewed the Sans <br />contacted, costs, and those which do not provide audits due to the high cost involved for insurance. <br />Knutson reported he received a $750 quote from Runbeck & Associates and a $1,200 quote from <br />Lazson, Allen, & Welsher (Six Cities' auditor) wntingent upon also obtaining the City of Anoka audit <br />business and said if LRRWMO can get an audit completed for $850 they should "take it and run". <br />It was noted that the audit will be conducted by the same auditor as in past years, he just works for <br />a different firm now. <br />Motion by Weaver, seconded by Ottensmann, to accept the audit bid of $750 from Runbeck <br />& Associates, P.A. for the 1995 audit. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />WCA Grant Reimbursement Reports <br />Knutson reviewed the reimbursement reports received from Haas and Timesaver Secretarial for work <br />conducted in 1995 relating to the WCA. He requested the report from Ramsey and Anoka be • <br />received shortly. <br />Jankowski advised his report will be about $1,100 and suggested that SEH be requested for the <br />amount related to the WCA in conjunction with the Plan Update. He requested the report be held <br />until the SEH report is received. Knutson explained that Anoka County is anxious to receive the <br />reports to complete their books as soon as possible. <br />No action; informational. <br />Resolution Des~natmg OSicial Depositories and Simees <br />Knutson reviewed the proposed resolution and method used with the Minnesota Municipal Money <br />Market Fund (4M Fund) to invest fund balances which earned $2,900 interest in 1995 compazed to <br />$840 the previous yeaz. Because of this high rate of return, other types of investments (CD's) have <br />not been used. It was noted the 4M Fund is only available to governmental agencies. <br />Weaver commented on the excellent investment return and fund management conducted by Knutson. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to adopt Resolution No. 96-1 Designation <br />of Off-cial Depositories and Signees.
