LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
• January 25, 1996 -
Page 3
1996 Auditor
Knutson noted the same auditor as used in past years now works for Runbeck & Associates.
He explained whey have increased the audit fee to $750 which is within the revised budget.
He explained it is a State requirement to conduct an audit and stated he believes their fee
of $750 remains a reasonable cost for an audit.
Schultz asked if proposals aze required. Knutson explained proposals are not required since
it is for professional services. Schultz asked if there is anyone else within the member cities
that can prepaze this audit. Knutson stated there could be and he can do further reseazch.
It was noted the audit needs to be done in tune to submit it with the Annual Report.
Schultz pointed out this is a 50% increase and stated his preference to find an auditor within
the LRRWMO azea. Knutson commented on the cost to hire a CPA firm.
Haas suggested a price be requested from several other firms. Knutson noted the short time
frame and asked members to advise him of firms that prepaze audits for other watershed
districts.
• Consensus was reached to table further consideration and request Knutson to obtain
additional audit quotes and also to advise Runbeck & Associates that other proposals are
being obtained.
Due to another meeting conflict, Jankowski excused himself from the meeting at 9:20 a.m.
and requested Acting Vice Chair Schultz to chair the meeting.
REVIEW PLAN UPDATE -SEH
Mazk Lobermeier, SEH, distributed and reviewed maps identifying the LRRWMO area,
three major watershed areas (North Rum River, South Rum River, and Mississippi River),
and 18 subwatershed units. Ferguson and Haas commented on several boundary
adjustments. Lobermeier explained these maps are from the Anoka County GIS system and
he will make the boundary change suggested by Haas to the east side of the South Rum
River azea. Several other azeas of minor boundary disputes were noted which need to be
resolved.
Ferguson pointed out an azea of the Anoka/Coon Rapids boundary which needs to be
updated.
Lobermeier reviewed the action plan and implementation plan which includes cost estimates.
• He expressed concern that it be accurate and not include projects that aze not intended by
the LRRWMO.
Schultz agreed that Jankowski will want to provide input on these issues.
