LRRWMO Meeting Minutes • September 19, 1996 Page 4 Water Appropriation Permit - LaTour Construction Co Inc (Ramsey) The LRRWMO reviewed the DNR's request for comment on the Water Appropriation Permit #96- 6187 for LaTour Construction Company, Inc. for temporary dewatering for utility (McKinley Street) construction in the City of Anoka. No adverse comments were made regazding Water Appropriation Permit for LaTour Construction for temporary dewateting for utility installation. Acknowledged; no action required. Arrowhead Water Quality Team Videos The LRRWMO reviewed information from The Conservation Mentor indicating two videos are now available entitled "Keeping our Shores" and "Water Conservation, Managing our Precious Liquid" which could be aired to fulfill the educational aspect of the LRRWMO's goals. Jankowski stated if purchased, Quad City Cable could be asked to air the programs with a by-line that • it is being sponsored by the LRRWMO. Weaver asked where such videos would be housed. Jankowski and Ferguson indicated they may have copies ofthe "Living Waters" video, which they will return. Consensus was reached that once the videos have aired, they will be stored at the Anoka City Hall. Motion by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to authorize acquiring "Keeping Our Shores" and "Water Conservation, Managing our Precious Liquid Asset" videos at a cost of $25 plus sales tas,'funded from miscellaneous contingencies, and direct the Administrative Secretary to contact Quad Cities to coordinate airing of these videos. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. Weaver suggested the 1997 budget include an "educational" or "public outreach" line item for such purchases. Consensus reached to so direct.
