At the entryway on the site, a rock filter dike, being a minimum of two feet in height
and having maximum side slopes of 4:1, must be constructed. This rock filter dike will
provide an erosion control facility but enable construction traffic to enter the site. The
rock filter dike must be continually maintained during the construction phase of the
project.
5. Street sweeping must be undertaken and completed on an as-needed basis.
Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
LRRWMO Permit #96-13. Vision-Ease Lens - Ramsev
The LRRWMO reviewed the September 18, 1996 memorandum from Barr Engineering regarding
his review of LRRWMO Permit #96-13 for the construction of a 150,000 squaze foot
officeJwazehouse building for Vision-Ease to be located south of Sunwood Drive and north of Jasper
Street in Ramsey.
Jankowski stated the size of the building is about one-half as large as the AEC building, and is a fairly •
large development. Weaver inquired regarding soil conditions and wetland encroachment. Jankowski
displayed a site plan and drawing, and reviewed the site configuration and direction of storm water
which will be directed to basins in Sunwood Drive and then to a regional sedimentation pond that
overflows into a wetland which has no outlet. However, an outlet is planned which go into a series
of storm water pipes, ponds, and discharge down Sunfish Lake Boulevazd and into the Ivfississippi
River.
Motion by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to approve LRRWMO Permit. #96-13, Vision-Ease,
to construct a 150,000 square foot officelwarehouse building (with a total of 120,000 additional
square feet for future expansion) south of Sunwood Drive and north of Jasper Street in
Ramsey, conditioned on:
1. All erosion control measures shown on the plan must be installed at the initial stages
of construction and be maintained until all areas altered have been restored.
2. The water quality basin must be constructed at the initial stages of construction and
be functional during the site grading portion of the project.
3. The outlet from the ponding basin must be designed to provide skimming of floatable
materials.
4. At the entryway on the site, a rock filter dike, being a minimum of two feet in height
and having maximum side slopes of 4:1, must be constructed. This rock filter dike will •
provide an erosion control facility but enable construction traffic to enter the site. The
rock filter dike must be continually maintained during the construction phase of the
project.
5. Street sweeping must be undertaken and completed on an as-needed basis.
