• LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
August 15, 1996
Page 7
REPORT OF OFFICERS
First Quarter 1996 Reports -Coon Rapids
Coon Rapids First Quarter 1996 Report not available; placed on August 15, 1996 meeting
agenda.
Second Ouarter 1996 Reports -Andover Anoka. Coon Ranids & Ramsev
The LRRWMO reviewed the Second Quarter 1996 Report from the City of Anoka.
Haas asked if Barr Engineering provides a final inspection to assure completion. Jankowski asked
who is responsible for maintenance of the ponds after acceptance. Schultz responded the City of
Anoka is responsible for those located within Anoka. Haas stated on critical projects, Andover has
had Barr Engineering make a final inspection. Jankowski stated this is usually only done when
wetland restoration is involved.
• Schultz stated some of the projects are within the AEP and asked what Barr Engineering would
inspect since drainage goes into the created pond. He expressed concern with the resulting expense
if an inspection by Barr Engineering is required on such projects. Schultz stated he does not object
if involving natural structures but does not believe it is warranted for man-made structures. Haas
explained Andover also requires the project's engineer to certify compliance with the Plan.
It was determined that Barr Engineering will not be asked to make a final inspection on the
subject permits.
Motion by Haas, seconded by Weaver, to accept the Second Quarter 1996 Report from the City of
Anoka and, based on the letters of recommendation by the City of Anoka, consensus was reached to
authorize the release of permit fund balances to the following project: LRRWMO Permits #92-06,
Tower Pond Addition; #92-08 Mineral Pond 6th Addition; #94-12 Reliant Engineering &
Manufacturing; #95-03 Stonehauen Addition; #95-05 Anoka EnterprisePazk Phase 3; #95-10 Central
Power Distribution; and #95-20 Wisconsin Magneto, Inc.
