LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />• AUGUST 21,1997 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Jankowski called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Committee Room of Anoka City Hall. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Voting members present were Steve Jankowski, Ramsey; Todd Haas, Andover; and John Weaver, <br />Anoka. <br />Voting member absent was Ben Ferguson, Coon Rapids. <br />Also present were Ray Schultz, Anoka Alternate; Bruce Perry, Andover Alternate; Jim Knutson, <br />Deputy Treasurer; Brian Krystofiak, Pioneer Engineering; and Nick Eoloff, Anoka County Park <br />Department Landscape Architect. <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to approve the July 17,1997 regular meeting <br />minutes as presented. Vote: 2 ayes, 0 nays, l present (Haas). Motion carried. <br />• FINANCE MATTERS <br />Treasurer's Report <br />Knutson presented the Treasurer's Statement of Cash Receipts and Disbursements and the Treasurer's <br />Report for the period ending July 31, 1997. Account balances for the period were: Checking, <br />$64,148,80; less pemut account balance of ($10,364.48), for a total balance of $53,784.32. He noted <br />the balances aze well within budget. <br />Motion was made by Haas, seconded by Weaver, to accept the Treasurer's Report for the period <br />ending July 31,1997. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />Payment ofBills <br />Knutson presented the payment of bills for Timesaver for $215.80, Kennedy & Graven for $1,025.99, <br />and SEH for $1,000.00 (retainage). He explained that the amount due to Barr Engineering was so low <br />that they decided to submit it with next month's invoice. <br />Jankowski reviewed the itemized list of tasks included in the Kennedy & Graven invoice. <br />• Knutson explained the attorney determined the 7PA does not need to be revised as part of the Plan <br />Update. Jankowski stated this is correct and the decision to obtain a legal opinion was in reaction to <br />BWSR's indication that it did need to be updated. <br />
