LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
• August 21, 1997
Page 3
Haas stated Andover staff is also interested in touring the river to identify violations of the Scenic
River Ordinance.
Weaver indicated that Denny Springer has volunteered to make his pontoon available for this type of
tour. He noted a pontoon may be more safe than a canoe.
Haas suggested that the staff of Ramsey, Andover, and Anoka work together to schedule a date for this
tour.
Weaver asked if the three cities involved should distribute these costs rather than involving the
LRRWMO.
Jankowski stated the LRRWMO should probably be included in this process since it relates to the
dam.
Weaver noted a deficit was budgeted in 1997 to address excessive reserves but it appears the final
numbers will not reflect a deficit. He stated it seems reasonable that a deficit can again be budgeted
in 1998 without jeopazdizing the integrity of the budget.
• Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to adopt Resolution No. 97-2, Adopting a
Budget for the Year 1998 including a deficit of $7,700. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Revised Recordine Secretarial Service Agreement
Knutson reviewed the proposed Addendum to the Recording Secretarial Service Agreement with
Timesaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc. which reflected a 3% increase.
Motion was made by Haas, seconded by Weaver, to approve the Addendum to the Recording
Secretarial Service Agreement with Timesaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc. with a term to expire
January 31, 2000. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Law Suit
The LRRWMO reviewed the August 14, 1997 memorandum from the Administrative Secretary
advising the State of Minnesota vs. Theresa Marie Leadens suit was resolved without actually going
to trial with testimony. Thus, the services of Bob Beduhn (former employee of Barr Engineering)
were not needed.
CONSIDER COMMUNICATIONS
• Review Correspondence in Chair's Folder
Jankowski reviewed the correspondence and notices contained in the Chair's Folder.
