Acknowledged; no action required. BWSR Wetland Replacement Program Weaver reviewed the February 26, 1997 memorandum from Ronald Harnack, BWSR Executive Director, regazding their Wetland Replacement Program (for public roads) Request for Proposal. Informational; no action required. U of M Special District Study Questionnaire Weaver reviewed the questionnaire studying the organization of special tax districts in Indiana and Minnesota. Informational; no action required DNR - DNR Permit No 90-6229 - T H 169 Bridge and Bypass - Stage 1B The LRRWMO reviewed the request for DNR Permit #90-6229, Stage 1B, for Mn/DOT's project to reconstruct the Highway 169 bridge between Anoka and Champlin to construct Stage 1B. They also reviewed the Mazch 17, 1997, letter from Tom Hovey addressing areas of concern which the LRRWMO expressed at their last meeting. Schultz explained the contractor will construct pads to create a small 40' bridge to span the River to prevent it from damming. He stated he sees no problem with this procedure if it does not result in flooding. It was noted this revision is being requested instead of constructing a continuous causeway. Schultz noted this option will allow for more water to flow through but inquired regazding possible restriction for boating (warning lights on causeway to assure safety for navigational protection, directional signs towards boating channel, safety of workers). Ferguson noted previously stated LRRWMO concerns have already been voiced. Weaver pointed out these structures aze to be in place through June of 1997 and asked if this indicates debris will be removed prior to July of 1997. • Consensus reached to forward these comments to the DNR.
