As a result, contingency options
have been identified in the event that a portion of the recommended plan
cannot be implemented.
METROPOLITRN COUNCIL
Option 1. If a parallel runway cannot be developed at Anoka
County-Blaine Airport, demand generated in this part of the reliever
system could be satisfied to some degree at Gateway North Industrial
Airport. Therefore, the airport does not have
the potential to satisfy all excess demand forecast for Anoka County-
Blaine Airport. In the event this contingency must be followed,
demand will either go unserved or substantial operating delays will
be incurred at Anoka County-Blaine.
