Hours of Work: <br />The Contractor shall be allowed to work between the hours of 7 A.M. and 9 P.M. Monday thru <br />Friday. There shall be no work performed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), or holidays. <br />Payment: <br />As and for compensation, Contractor shall be paid a lump sum total of Eight Thousand Five <br />Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($8,500.00) with said payment being made upon final acceptance of <br />the work contemplated in this Contract by the Cities. <br />Payment and Performance Bond: <br />Prior to commencing any work, the Contractor shall post a Ten Thousand and 00/100 Dollar <br />($10,000.00) bond with a financial institution approved of by the Cities, to guarantee <br />performance of the work contemplated by this Contract. <br />Contractor Liability Insurance: <br />The Contractor shall be required to maintain, at all times, adequate insurance which shall include <br />the Cities, their employees and agents as additional insureds. The Contractor shall provide to the <br />Cities certificates of all insurance coverage prior to commencement of work. Limits of liability <br />for insurance shall provide coverage in an amount deemed appropriate by the Cities in their <br />discretion. Upon review of the liability insurance coverage, the Cities have the right to require <br />Contractor to obtain a letter of credit (LOC) as additional security. <br />Preconstruction Meetin Workshop: <br />Prior to beginning work under this Contract, a preconstruction meeting shall occur between the <br />Cities, participating Property Owners and Contractor at which meeting the specifications and <br />expectations of the project will be discussed. <br />Landing Zones/Stockpiling Material: <br />The Cities and Property Owners will work with the Contractor in finding suitable sites for <br />landing zones for the material. The Cities will have the final say as to where these zones will be. <br />The Contractor will be responsible for restoring these designated areas back to their original <br />conditions. All debris leftover following the removal of the evergreen logs and slash shall be <br />cleaned up and removed from all streets, roads and highways by the Contractor. <br />Disposal of Wood: <br />The Contractor shall dispose of the wood in a manner consistent with the City of Andover's <br />"Proper Disposal/Treatment of Diseased Wood" form, which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof as Exhibit B. <br />Transportation of Material: <br />The Contractor shall follow all intrastate and interstate guidelines and requirements concerning <br />the transporting of wood and woody debris. <br />Care of Work: <br />All work to be performed under this Contract must be accomplished with reasonable care and <br />minimum disruption or damage to the residual stand of trees, ground, fields, lawns, gardens, <br />2 <br />
