Hours of Work: The Contractor shall be allowed to work between the hours of 7 A.M. and 9 P.M. Monday thru Friday. There shall be no work performed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), or holidays. Payment: As and for compensation, Contractor shall be paid a lump sum total of Eight Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($8,500.00) with said payment being made upon final acceptance of the work contemplated in this Contract by the Cities. Payment and Performance Bond: Prior to commencing any work, the Contractor shall post a Ten Thousand and 00/100 Dollar ($10,000.00) bond with a financial institution approved of by the Cities, to guarantee performance of the work contemplated by this Contract. Contractor Liability Insurance: The Contractor shall be required to maintain, at all times, adequate insurance which shall include the Cities, their employees and agents as additional insureds. The Contractor shall provide to the Cities certificates of all insurance coverage prior to commencement of work. Limits of liability for insurance shall provide coverage in an amount deemed appropriate by the Cities in their discretion. Upon review of the liability insurance coverage, the Cities have the right to require Contractor to obtain a letter of credit (LOC) as additional security. Preconstruction Meetin Workshop: Prior to beginning work under this Contract, a preconstruction meeting shall occur between the Cities, participating Property Owners and Contractor at which meeting the specifications and expectations of the project will be discussed. Landing Zones/Stockpiling Material: The Cities and Property Owners will work with the Contractor in finding suitable sites for landing zones for the material. The Cities will have the final say as to where these zones will be. The Contractor will be responsible for restoring these designated areas back to their original conditions. All debris leftover following the removal of the evergreen logs and slash shall be cleaned up and removed from all streets, roads and highways by the Contractor. Disposal of Wood: The Contractor shall dispose of the wood in a manner consistent with the City of Andover's "Proper Disposal/Treatment of Diseased Wood" form, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit B. Transportation of Material: The Contractor shall follow all intrastate and interstate guidelines and requirements concerning the transporting of wood and woody debris.
