<br />· windshield wipers and washers; <br />· interior lights; <br />. horn; <br />· parking brake; <br />· door operation, including emergency exits and alarms; <br />· fire extinguisher charge; <br />· sufficient tie-down equipment; <br />· heater, defroster and air conditioning; <br />. tires; <br />· oil level, transmission fluid level, and coolant level; <br />· radio for communication to and from the Contractor's dispatch offices; <br />· farebox; and GO TO system <br />· destination sign. <br /> <br />Each vehicle during service operation shall be supplied by the Contractor with current route <br />schedules for passenger use. <br /> <br />V. CONTRACTOR PROVIDED FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />5.01 Facilities and Equipment. Except for the fare collection equipment as described <br />in section 2.04, the Contractor shall provide all facilities and equipment necessary to deliver <br />service levels in the Service Plan including, without limitation: <br /> <br />· facilities for vehicle maintenance; <br />· facilities for vehicle storage; <br />· facilities for dispatching, driver and other field staff daily assignments; <br />· facilities for pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection and reporting activities; <br />· facsimile (fax) machines; and <br />· sufficient telephone service to meet Contractor's business needs in operating the transit <br />service including dedicated voice, TTY, and fax lines. <br /> <br />The facilities shall be ,large enough to conduct driver recruitment activities and provide driver <br />training. The facilities for storing vehicles must permit the entire fleet to be stored inside. All <br />furnishings, all non-computer equipment and all supplies in connection with the facilities are the <br />responsibility of the Contractor. If any damage occurs to the facilities or equipment, the <br />Contractor shall replace the damaged item(s) with comparable or better levels of facilities or <br />equipment. The Contractor's facilities must comply with all state, federal, and local safety <br />requirements and laws. The Contractor's facilities must also comply with all accessibility <br />features as described in Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and state uniform building <br />codes. <br /> <br />5.02 Communication Radio System. The Contractor is responsible for providing the <br />communication radio system used in providing transit services under the agreement and having <br />the necessary maintenance and repairs on the system done in a timely manner. The Contractor is <br />responsible for installing the Contractor's radio communication system in all vehicles. <br /> <br />12 <br />
