<br />i) Interior fluorescent lights will be mounted on the ceiling <br />with at least six fixtures on each side. <br />ii) A spotlight will illuminate the lift area. <br />iii) Aircraft-style reading lights recessed into the overhead <br />parcel bins will illuminate each passenger seating position. <br />The passenger can control the lights. <br /> <br />e) Seating and Seating Capacity <br /> <br />i) The seats will be forward-facing, high-backed, airline-style <br />recliners. Seats over the wheelchair stations will slide <br />forward or rearward and slip up to clear a space for <br />wheelchair tie-downs. <br /> <br />ii) The vehicle must have an ambulatory passenger capacity <br />of at least 57 seated passengers including moveable seats <br />over the wheelchair tie-downs and, at a minimum, two <br />wheelchair spaces. <br /> <br />iii) Proposers are encouraged to propose buses with <br />additional ambulatory seating as long as there are a <br />minimum of two wheelchair spaces. <br /> <br />f) Parcel Bins <br /> <br />i) Full-length enclosed bins will be installed over passenger <br />seats. <br /> <br />ii) Doors will be contoured and remain open when opened <br />and closed when closed. <br /> <br />iii) Sins will include adjustable air vents and individual reading <br />lamps for each passenger. <br /> <br />g) Modesty Panels/Passenger Assists <br /> <br />i) Modesty panels will be installed behind the driver's seat <br />and aft of the front entry step well. <br /> <br />ii) Handrails to assist passengers as they enter or exit the <br />vehicle be incorporated into the modesty panels. <br /> <br />iii) Recessed passenger handrails running full length front and <br />back will be incorporated into the bins to assist passengers <br />as they walk down the aisle. <br /> <br />iii) A passenger grab rail will be mounted on the forward side <br />of the front entry to assist passengers as they walk up the <br />steps in the front step well. <br /> <br />26 <br />
