Ratify the recommendation of the Personnel Committee. <br />Case 3: Consider resolution approving working out of classification pay and interim title for the <br />IIuman Resources Technician. <br />Background: <br />Deputy City Administrator/Director of Community Development Nelson reviewed the staff report <br />and stated that with the resignation of Ms. Reed Kone, Ms Lasher has assumed many of the duties of <br />Ms. Reed Kone and is working out of her pay classification. Ms. Nelson added that in the past when <br />the City has had a situation like this, we have given out of classification pay and sometimes an <br />interim title change. Staff is recommending that Council approve a 5% pay increase for Ms. Lasher <br />retro to June 2, 2010 and to give her an interim title change to Human Kesources Representative. <br />The increase would be paid from the salary budgeted for Ms. Reed Kone. She suggested that as we <br />move through the budget process, we would determine what we will do with this position. Ms. <br />Nelson pointed out the job descriptions attached - Ms. Lasher's current description as well as one <br />for an Interim Human Resources Representative. The Personnel Committee recommended Council <br />adopt the resolution approving working out of classification pay and interim title for the Human <br />Resources Technician. <br />Action: <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br />Based upon recommendation of the Personnel Committee and discussion by the Council. <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br />There was none. <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator: <br />CC: 07/13/10 <br />
