PERS CASE #: ~'~ <br />CONSIDER RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />WORKING OUT OF CLASSIFACATION PAY <br />AND INTERIM TITLE FOR <br />THE HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN <br />By: Heidi Nelson, Deputy City Administrator/Director of Community Development <br />Background <br />On May 1 1, 2010 City Council accepted the resignation of the Human Resources <br />Manager/Assistant Administrative Services Manger. Due to the budget issues facing the City it <br />was the consensus of the City Council to leave the position vacant far the foreseeable future. <br />The Human Resources Technician has assumed many of the Human Resources <br />Manager/Assistant Administrative Services Manger's duties and responsibilities. With these <br />added duties and responsibilities the Human Resources Technician is working out of her pay <br />classification. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve a five percent increase per hour for the Human <br />Resources Technician while she is working out of her pay classification and an interim title <br />change of Human Resources Representative. The proposed interim job description for the <br />Interim Human Resources Representative, which reflects the new duties for the Human <br />Resources Technician, is attached. The Human Resources Technician job description is also <br />attached. <br />Funding: <br />The additional funding far Ms. Lasher's Working Out of Classification pay would come from the <br />salary budgeted for the 2010 Human Resources Manager/Assistant Administrative Services <br />Manger position. <br />Personnel Committee Action: <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council <br />percent increase per hour for the Human Re <br />pay classification and an interim title~lfa g~ <br />XXX approving a five <br />she is working out of her <br />Reviewed By: Kurds G.
