ORDINANCE #10- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOkA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 117 ARTICLE II DIVISION 8 (SIGNS) OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1 AUTHORITY This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. SECTION 2 AMEND Chapter 117 Article II Division 6 of the Ramsey City Code is hereby amended as follows: Sec. 117-465. -Temporary signs. (a) Temporary signs aze defined as signs which are erected or displayed for a limited period of time and not affixed to a state building code approved structure. A sign is considered temporary if i[ is not intended to remain on the property permanently. and has not received a permanent sign permit and/or is not intended to be constructed per the state building code. (1) Duration. Temporary signs shall be permitted for up to six weeks per year per parcel, or per business on multitenan[ business parcels. The six-week limit may be extended up to four weeks if there have been no sign violations in the past year by the entity who erects the sign. (2) Location. Temporary signs must be located fully on private property, with the permission of the property owner. The city will remove any signs iu the public right-of--way, or erected without permission from the property owner. (3) Number. All properties are limited to two temporary signs per parcel. In locations where there are multiple businesses on one parcel (a multitenant facility), three signs are permitted. (4) Sue. Temporary signs shall be limited to 50 square feet in size.
