H) Oversees Boards and Commissions <br />• Advertises Board and Commissions openings as per the policy established by the <br />City Council <br />• Arranges interviews with the Council and applicants <br />• Prepares cases and resolutions as necessary <br />• Contacts selected applicants <br />• Prepares new commissioner welcome packet <br />• Arranges swearing in with City Clerk and updates staff liasons with new members <br />information <br />• Updates spreadsheets, member files, term histories, and website <br />• Tracks member attendance and follows policy for those in violation <br />1) Serves as Secretary for the Labor Management Committee <br />• Records minutes from meetings and maintains a master log of all meeting <br />correspondence. <br />• Disseminates agendas and materials to committee members. <br />• Compiles agenda and receives approval of committee co- chairs. <br />.n Arranges training for city employees <br />• Evaluates mandatory human resource training needs to assure requirements are <br />met <br />• Arranges training sessions including scheduling trainer or training method, <br />reserving meeting space, arranging for equipment, and preparing materials <br />IQ Performs other duties as assigned or apparent <br />TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: <br />Minimum Qualifications <br />• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field, or <br />Associate in Arts Degree with continuing credits toward Bachelor's degree with <br />the ability to complete within an approved amount of time. <br />• Three (3) years of work experience involving recruitment, selection, <br />compensation, grievance resolution, labor relations and training. <br />• Valid driver's license. <br />Desired Qualifications <br />• Proven experience in a human resources department for a government agency <br />preferred. <br />• Education beyond Bachelor's Degree. <br />Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities <br />• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws <br />• Knowledge of employee classification, compensation and benefits, recruitment, <br />selection, training, and labor relations' <br />Knowledge of Data Practices law as it relates to personnel data <br />
