The sign will be located here until Highway 10 is reconfigured.
Discussion ensued regarding the height and width of the sign.
Chairperson Levine asked what type of reader board it was.
Mr. Lazan stated it was a full digital LED reader board that can have scrolling letters, fixed
images, slide shows, and color.
Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated one of the terms of the proposed interim use permit
is that the message center needs to comply with the dynamic display illumination regulations
within the sign ordinance.
Planning Manager Miller stated there is a provision that signs along Highway 410 have to be
permitted by the State; once this sign goes through the City process it also has to go through the
state process of approval. The City's approval will be contingent on getting approval by the
State.
Commissioner Van Scoy stated that the rational of approving the additional height is that this is
the primary signage for The COR and it is located very close to the center of the COR.
Motion by Commissioner Cleveland, seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy, to close the public
hearing.
Motion Carried.
