3.O BODY YES NO <br />3.1 The apparatus body shall be constructed of aluminum. <br />3.2 The body shall have high side compartment arrangement on <br /> both left and right sides and meet the minimum NFPA <br /> capacity of 40 cubic feet. <br />3.2.1 Each bid will specify the total amount of rear storage <br /> compartment space provided on their apparatus. <br />3.3 Two compartments, one on each side, shall be provided, in <br /> similar lower area, that will adequately hold a fan similar to <br /> those used by the fire department. <br />3.4 All NFPA required ground ladders shall be carried in a ladder <br /> tunnel located under the aerial turntable. <br />3.4.1 Access to the ladder tunnel shall be through a roll up door or <br /> other means approved by the fire department. <br />3.5 · Adjacentto the ladders, in the same tunnel, shall be the <br /> complete assortment of pike poles required by NFPA except <br /> for (1) 8' pole carried on the upper fly on the aerial. <br />3.5.1 Pike pole handles shall be "1" beam type. <br />3.6 The hose bed shall be capable of holding a minimum of 600' <br /> of 5" LDH hose. All bids shall identify the capacity of the LDH <br /> their bid is providing. <br />3.6.1 Hose bed shall come with an adjustable divider. <br />3.6.2 A gray nylon hosebed cover with snap fasteners shall be <br /> provided. <br />3.7 Three crosslays (preconnected), with adjustable dividers, and <br /> stainless steel rolls on edges on both sides of apparatus. <br /> Hose lays shall be (1) 2 1/2" x 200' and (2) 1 1/2"x 200'. <br />3.7.1 A hinged metal cover shall be provided over the crosslays. <br /> The cover shall be able to fully open with the aerial platform <br /> seated. <br />3.8 An extended front bumper will be provided, with a hose tray to <br /> hold 150' of 1 1/2" hose and nozzle. <br />3.9 The body shall be equipped with a cord reel with 150' of 12/3 <br /> awg wire. A 20 amp type General Electric GLD7311 plug will <br /> be attached to the end of the cable. The wire shall be <br /> connected to the on board generator through a circuit breaker. <br />3.9.1 Cord reel shall be electric rewind. <br />3.9.2 Rollers shall be provided to prevent damage to power cord. <br />3.10 A (4) gang junction box, with indicator light will be mounted in <br /> the same compartment on door. <br />3.11 In one rear compartment, to be determined, will be one 110v <br /> AC double duplex outlet. <br />3.12 Accommodations to store a total of 8 SCBA air bottles will be <br /> made on the apparatus.
