3.13 All vertical compartment doors shall have Cleveland style hold <br /> open devices. Two hydraulic cylinders shall be used for <br /> horizontal door hold opens. <br />3.14 Dual Gasketing shall be provided for all door openings. <br />3.15 All compartment doors shall have 4" dia 12v lights installed in <br /> them. Lights shall activate when doors are in the open <br /> position. 6" dia lights in top of each compartment shall also be <br /> provided. <br />3.1 5.1 Recessed, polished, stainless steel, "D" ring handles shall be <br /> used to latch all compartment doors. <br />3.16 Each compartment will have one adjustable tray type shelf <br /> with a 1-2" lip around shelf. <br />3. t6.1 All shelves and compartment floors shall have Dri-Dek or <br /> similar material installed. <br />3.17 Two hinged, chrome plated steps shall be mounted adjacent <br /> to the pump panel on each side of apparatus, providing <br /> access to top of apparatus. <br />3.18 Front bumper shall be made of stainless ste'ei. <br />3.19 A Iouvered opening on rear wall of each compartment with a <br /> minimum of twelve square inches shall be provided for <br /> ventilation. <br />~.1'9.1 All upper compartments shall have a total of 24 square inches <br /> of ventilation on the rear wall for ventilation. <br />3.20 Pump panel shall not be enclosed. A slide out platform will be <br /> provided below the pump panel for isolation of the operator. <br /> Platform and slides shall be constructed as to protect from the <br /> elements. <br />3.21 Dual chrome plated air horns shall be mounted in the front <br /> bumper. <br />3.22 Aluminum rub rail shall be installed on bottom of body. <br />3.23 Stainless steel fenderettes shall be provided on'all wheel <br /> wells. <br />4.0 AERIAL DEVISE YES NO <br />;~'.1' The platform and ladder sh'all meet the load requirements of <br /> NFPA 1901. (Bids for steel or aluminum will be accepted) <br />4.2 The platform and ladder shall meet or exceed the NFPA <br /> safety factor. <br />4.3 -'f'he stabilizer jack system shall be capable of proper leveling <br /> of the apparatus when on sloped surfaces per NFPA. Wheels <br /> or tires shall not be utilized in the stabilization of the <br /> apparatus. Automatic leveling shall be provided. <br />4.3.1 Four auxiliary stabilizer plates shall be provided with handles <br /> to be stored on each side of vehicle in the rear. <br /> <br />-312- <br /> <br /> <br />
