I <br />I <br />I <br />1 <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />6.0 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM <br />6.1 The apparatus shall have a 8KW 120 VAC electric generator <br /> system. The generator shall 'be an AMPS brand (or <br /> equivalent) variable displacement hydraulically driven by PTO. <br /> Generator shall be connected to the 120v on board system. <br />6.2 Four 1500 watt Kwik-Raze, telescoping, quartz scene lights. <br /> shall be provided and installed, in a position to be determined, <br /> on opposite sides of the apparatus. <br />6.3 Two weatherproof 120v, 20 amp, twist lock General Electric <br /> (#GLD7313) or equivalent shall be provided at the rear of the <br /> apparatus on the right and left side. <br />6.4 Additional outlets shall be provided as indicated in other'parts <br /> of this specification. <br />6.5 All 120v outlets shall be connected to the Kussmaul system <br /> (7.11 & 7.12) and the generator system (6.1). <br />6.6. Circuit breaker panel shall be located in the compartment <br /> nearest the pump panel. <br />6.'7 Separate bid: An auxiliary power source from the on board <br /> generator shaft be wired to the battery system to provide <br /> additional voltage for the alternator system. <br />7.0 CHASSIS ELECTRICAL sYSTEM YES NO <br />7.1 All emergency lighting, compartment lighting, scene lighting <br /> siren and horn system shall be provided per NFPA <br /> requirements and this specification. <br />7.1.1 The color of warning lights will be determined at pre-build <br /> conference. <br />7.2 Two (2) manual operated spotlights shall be provided on <br /> either side of the front cab and mounted through the cab <br /> body. <br /> Separate Bid: Two spotlights with remote contro!ling devises. <br />7.3 One transmitter that is compatible with the emergency vehicle <br /> preemption system shall be mounted on the cab of the <br /> apparatus and connected to the parking brake for <br /> deactivation. <br />7.4 The apparatus shall have a Motorola' model ............ provided <br /> and installed at the factory. It shall be installed to facilitate use <br /> by the captains seat of the truck. (2) volume controllable <br /> speakers will also be provided, one in the front cab area and <br /> the other in the crew area. <br /> Separate Bid: Radio shall be mounted on a swivel base. <br />7.5 The apparatus shall come with a Sigtronics Emergency <br /> Vehicle Intercom System. The intercom system shall be <br /> compatible with voice communication system required by <br /> NFPA 16-9.4 <br /> <br />-315- <br /> <br /> <br />
