Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman,
Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: None.

s)

Receive Draft Copy of the C.R. #116 CorridOr Study

Staff presented a draft of the portion of the C.R. 3116 corridor study, which addressed
right-of-way deficiencies and access management. The Committee wished for additional
time to review the recommendation.

~)

Consider Potential Alignment of 167th Avenue NW between CSAH g5 and C.R. g83
Item was tabled until the April Public Works Committee Meeting

7)

Receive Draft Copy of the T.H. gl0 Corridor Study
The Public Works Committee recommended to eliminate the most southerly alignment
from the study as an alignment option due to the implications and potential
environmental concerns with the Mississippi River as well as the challenges with the
railroad. They also recommended that Alpine Drive be included as a full access
interchange since the City of Ramsey has spent a significant amount of money to
complete an east-west corridor throughout the City and they want its residents' to enjoy
direct access to the freeway system via Alpine Drive. The Committee recommended that
the comments be forwarded to the State of Minnesota.

Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to ratify the
recommendations of the Public Works Committee.

Further discussion: Councilmember Anderson requested that the issue regarding McKinley
Street be more explicit. Principal Engineer Olson replied that he agreed that it should be more
explicit because the study notes that inter-community travel is very important. Mayor Gamec
stated that he had thought that comments were made that inter-community streets were not going
to be part of the study. Principal Engineer Olson replied that they had to look at parallel routes
for Highway gl0 and he thought it would be beneficial that it be noted. Councilmember
Hendriksen stated that without the connection of McKinley street it will increase industrial traffic
onto Highway gl0. Principal Engineer Olson stated that he would reword the language and
update the Council on the actual wording.

Motion carried.
