-118- <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />adoption. <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for it's <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 02-11-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RAMSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT TO <br />NOTIFY BUSINESS LICENSEES THAT FAILED ALCOHOL COMPLIANCE <br />CHECKS OF A $500.00 CIVIL FINE AND A ONE DAY SUSPENSION. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Police Department performed alcohol compliance <br />checks on all businesses that sell alcohol within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, six businesses failed the compliance check by selling alcohol to <br />underage parties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends sending certified letters-to the business licensees <br />that failed alcohol compliance checks, advising ora $500.00 civil fine and one-day <br />suspension and their right to a hearing. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Ramsey Police Department to <br />notify licensees that failed alcohol compliance checks via certified mail <br />notification of a $500.00 civil fine, one-day suspension and of their right to a <br />hearing. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councihnember , and upon vote being taken thereon, <br /> <br />The following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />And the following voted against: <br /> <br />And the following abstained: <br /> <br />And the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this 12th day of November, 2002. <br /> <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
