Public Hearin~ <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:43 p.m. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen, Anderson, and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:44 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:44 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to approve <br />introduction of an ordinance vacating these segments of City streets and preserving them as <br />drainage and utility easements and direct the City Attorney to research and advise the Council on <br />ultimate disposition of the land associated with the street Vacations. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Oamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Kurak, Anderson, and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman asked staff' to present information .on this project to the Public <br />Works Committee prior to City Council discussion. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Case#3: for Final Plat of Point; Case of Edina <br /> Request <br /> Approval <br /> Evergreen <br /> Development, Inc. <br /> <br />-74- <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon explained that Edina Development has submitted a final plat for the <br />first phase of Evergreen Point, a 110-unit townhome development on the northwest corner of <br />Alpine Drive and State Highway 47. The preliminary plat was approved by the City Council on <br />May 28, 2002. The first phase will consist of 58 townhomes. The subject property is zoned <br />Medium Density Residential wh/ch allows up to seven dwelling units per acre. The submitted <br />final plat is the first phase of the development and consists of 58 townhouse units. The submitted <br />final plat adheres to the approved final plat.
