I <br />:1 <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />CASE # q <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS <br /> By: Public Works Staff <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee met on July 16, 2002 and discussed the following five <br />cases: <br /> <br />Case # 4 <br /> <br />Presentation of Feasibility Studies for the three project south of City <br />Hall <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />A draft Feasibility Study was presented for each of the following three projects: <br /> <br />Improvement Project 02-20 <br />Improvement Project 02-21 <br />Improvement Project 02-22 <br /> <br />South of City Hall Campus Sewer Water and Street <br />Construction <br />151st, 152aa and Fluorine Street NW Sewer Water <br />and Street Construction <br />Pondvale Sewer Water and Street Construction <br /> <br />There was much discussion about the aspects of the projects as it related-to assessments <br />and interest of the residents to immediately hook-up to City services to help defray the <br />costs. Staff was directed to not send out the feasibility studies to the residents until <br />consensus of the Council was reached regarding the financing of these projects. <br /> <br />After much discussion the item was tabled to a future Public Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />None required. <br /> <br />Case #2 <br /> <br />Discussion of Emergency Vehicle Access on Argon Street <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Committee received testimony from Mallard Ponds who indicated their desire to <br />construct a gate across the private road at the end of Argon Street. The Committee <br />acknowledged the homeowners associations right to control their property and <br />recommended that the association be allowed to construct the gate, contingent upon its <br />meeting the requirements of emergency access. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Ratify recommendation of the Committee <br /> <br />-263, <br /> <br /> <br />
