Case # 5 Update to Developments on NW corner of TH #47 and Alpine~Drive <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The purpose of this case was to discuss the possibility of installing sewer and water into <br />the subdivision as long as 155th Lane NW was to be tom Up due to the storm sewer <br />installation for the developments on the NW comer of Alpine Drive NW and Trunk <br />Ffighway 47 (Ever~een Point, Sunflower Ridge, Wildlife Sanctuary - 2nd). <br /> <br />I' <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />Staff attended an informational meeting with the residents along 155th Lane NW to <br />inform them of the potential disrupt/on of the construction activities associated with the <br />storm sewer overflow proposed to be installed as part of those developments. A resident <br />of the neighborhood asked whether the City would consider installing the sewer and <br />water pipes under the road as long as it was being reconstructed. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />After the discussion during Case #4, the consensus of the Committee was to ask the <br />neighbors whether or not they wanted sewer and water under the guidelines that they pay <br />for the additional cost. Ms. Jan Polmeroy presented the results of that question at the July <br />23, 2002 City Council meeting. Only 2 residents of the 18 that were contacted were <br />willing to hook up the sewer and water and were willing to pay the additional cost of the <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />None required. <br />Case # 1 Mailbox Placement in Cul-De-Sacs <br />Background: <br /> <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Riemer reviewed that last year staff proposed developing a <br />policy to move mailboxes out of the City's cul-de-sacs to improve snow plowing <br />operations and help the U.S. Postal Service do their job more efficiently. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Council.member Zimmerman, to recommend that <br />the City Council adopt a resolution establishing a policy for mailbox placement outside <br />of the City's cul-de-sacs. <br /> <br />CounCil Action: <br /> <br />Ratify recommendation of the Committee to adopt resolution requiring all mailboxes be <br />located outside of cul-de-sac radius. <br /> <br />Case #3 <br /> <br />Update to Easement Acquisition along Alpine Drive <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />-264- <br /> <br />The purpose of this case is to provide an update on the negotiations of easements along <br />Alpine Drive NW for trail and storm sewer purposes. A table was presented with the <br />results of the negotiations with the individuals that were contacted regarding easements <br />necessary for trail and storm sewer purposes. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
