Intersection Sight Distance requirements were evaluated at each the proposed
intersections with CR 116 (Industry Ave.). Additionally,' Intersection Sight Distance
requirements' were evaluated at the proposed future and existing intersection of
Sunwood Drive at CR 57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.). The results of these evaluations are
outlined below:
1) Sunwood Drive at OR 116 (Industry Ave.)
Case I - has significant deficiencies in the northeast and southeast quadrants.
Obstructions include high banks, trees, and tall grass.
Case llIB (Condition 1).- Satisfied
Case IIIB (Condition 2) - Satisfied
Case IIIC - Satisfied
The City and/or developer shall clear and/or grade to the extent that all Intersection
Sight Distance requirements are satisfied to the fullest extent possible.
2) Azurite Street at CR 116 (Industry Ave.)
Case I - Satisfied
Case IIIB .(Condition 1) - Satisfied
Case IIIB (Condition 2) - Has a significant non-correctable deficiency due to a
vertical curve on CE 118 (Industry Ave.).
Case IIIC.- has a minor deficiency caused by a horizontal curve on CR 116 (Industry
Ave.) and trees. Some clearing may improve this case.
The Case IIIB (Condition 1) obstruction is non-correctable, which strengthens our
recommendation to eliminate this intersection.
3) Proposed Sunwood Drive at CR 57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.)
Case I - Minor deficiencies on both quadrants caused by trees.
Case IIIB (Condition 1) - Satisfied
Case ItIB (Condition 2) - Has a minor non-correctable deficiency due to a vertical
curve on CE 57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.).
Case lllC - Has a minor non-correctable deficiency due to a vertical curve on CP, 57
(Sunfish Lake Blvd.).
The City may wish to consider turn lane construction on CR 57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.)
t° mitigate sight distance deficiencies.
4) Existing Sunwood Drive at CR 57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.)
Case I, Major deficiencies on both quadrants caused by high bank, retaining walt,
trees, and brush.
Case IIIB (Condition i)- Satisfied
Case IttB (Condition .2) - Has a minor non-c0rrectable deficiency due to a vertical
curve on CR 57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.).
Case IIIC - Has a moderate non-correctable deficiency due to a vertical curve on CR
57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.).
City plans to construct Sunwood Drive between CR 57 (Sunfish Lake Blvd.) and CR
116 (Industry Ave.) should include turn lane construction on CR 57 (Sunfish Lake
Blvd.) at Sunwood Drive to mitigate the Intersection Sight Distance deficiencies.

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
I
I
I

-174-
