Towers shall conform with each of the following <br /> <br />d.o <br /> <br />do <br /> <br />No part of any communication antenna or tower, equipment, guyed <br />wires, or braces shall at any time extend across or over any part of <br />the public right-of-way, public street, highway, sidewalk, or <br />recreation trail. <br /> <br />In Business and Industrial Zoning Districts~ t--T-owers shall meet <br />the setbacks of the underlying zoning district with the exception of <br />industrial zoning districts, where towers may encroach into the side <br />or rear setback area, provided that the side or rear property line <br />abuts another non-residential zoned' property and the tower does <br />not encroach upon any easements. <br /> <br />Towers constructed within Residential Zoning Districts shall <br />maintain a minimum setback equal to 1.5 times the height of the <br />tower from any. lot line. -~:~-'";~ ~ .... ';-~ ~-"-*~'~ ....... ~" <br />· adj acent..to.~he-tower-site-.----Any--~esident-iat-dwetling--toe, a~ed-on-~he <br /> <br />Towers shall not be located between a principal structure and a <br />public street, with the following exceptions: <br /> <br />In industrial zoning districts, towers may be placed within a <br />side yard abutting an internal industrial street. <br /> <br />On sites adjacent to public streets on all sides, towers may <br />be placed within a side yard abutting a local street. <br /> <br />A lesser setback distance may be used if a qualified and licensed <br />professional engineer specifies in writing that the collapse of the <br />proposed tower will occur within a lesser distance. <br /> <br />The setback Shall be measured between the base of the tower <br />located nearest the property line and the actual property line. <br /> <br />A tower's setback may be reduced or its location in relation to a <br />public street varied, at the sole discretion of the City Council, to <br />allow the integration of a tower into an existing or proposed <br />structure such as a church steeple, light standard, power line <br />support device, or similar structure. <br /> <br />-185- <br /> <br /> <br />
