-120- <br /> <br />PROPOSED ORDLNANCE #Ol- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS I~.NOWN AS <br />THE ZONItNG A2qD SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br />AN ORD~q,4~NCE AMENDING SECTIONS 8.01.03(c), 9.11.18(3)(c), and 9.50.03(2)(c)(7) OF <br />THE CITY CODE OF RAx¥ISEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTIOtN' 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Subsection 8.01.03 Permits, Inspections, and Fees is amended to include the following text: <br /> <br />Elevation Survey. At the time of a footing and foundation inspection is done, <br />the builder or applicant shall produce a certified elevation survey verifying that <br />the elevation of the foundation conforms to the overall grading plan for the <br />area. Failure to produce such certified elevation survey will lead to delays in <br /> <br />approving the footings and foundations. This requirement may be waived at the <br />discretion of the CitW Engineer if it is determined that the certified elevation <br />survey is not needed to ensure the compatibility of the grade of the lot with the <br />overall grading an.d drainage p. lan for the area. <br /> <br />Subsection 9.11.01(13) Performance Standards - General Requirements is amended to include 'the <br />following text: <br /> <br />(13) The grade of existing lots with approv.ed .grading plans shall not be modified <br />exes!at after review and approval by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Subsection 9.! 1.18(3)(c), Grading, Mining, Filling Permits - Exceptions is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Grading of individual residentiai lots by less than three (3) feet in depth, filling <br />of less than two (2) feet at any point and which does not interfere with surface <br />drainage in the area a.nd does not substantially change the approved grading <br />plan for the area. These standards can be exceeded without a Conditional <br /> <br />Use Permit if the proposed excavation is for the purpose of creating a pond <br />prov!ding th.e pond created has a water surface area of one-third acre or <br /> <br />20% of the total lot size, whi.chever is less, and, the excavated material is <br />hauled off-site or does not alter the drainage paterns of adiacent <br />properties, <br /> <br />This addition does not relieve the property, owner from a.c_qujrin~ the <br />permits that are required from other agencies that have .jurisdiction of <br /> <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
