The City cannot handle the u'affic on Dysprosium, Hwy 47 or coming from Thurston. At night
even if you are able to get through Anoka on Hwy 169 across the river bridge or across Hwy 10
without being in an accident, you almost get into an accident trying to go straight or turn left at
the stop lights at 116 and 47 due to people trying to race through the lights. At Thurston, 116,
and Dysprosium no one knows how to go through the stop signs. Besides 116 is almost backed
up to 47 when trying to turn right on to Dysprosium. Then you almost get rear-ended or run off
the road when trying to turn left into your driveway because people speeding North on
Dysprosium. In the morning you can't back out of your driveway due to the people speeding
down the hill south on Dysprosium. The City would be rich if they could assign an officer to just
ticket the speeders on this road! The City proposes to allow more population here!!

I have lost faith in the City of Ramsey in their ability to manage the traffic on Dysprosium.
Their solution years ago was to install speed bumps which since have had to be removed as they
were illegal. At that same meeting the City proposed sidewalks which wouldn't have solved the
speed problem and only cost the homeowners more. The bumps did little to solve the speed
problem anyway. Late at night Dysprosium is a &'ag strip. I state again, there is not enough
policemen for the cmTent Ramsey population or to police the speeders.

We have attended Lord of Life and you can hardly mm in and out of there because of the traffic
and you want to allow a major complex across the street'? The added population will only make
the traffic situation worse!

Does the City of Ramsey care about its people'? Did they look into the situation when the City of
Anoka put in an Industrial Park across the road from the Ramsey residents at 116 and
Dysprosium'? Many mornings in the summer when taking out the dog there was an offensive
odor. I had heard before Lund moved there that they would be having emissions. Were we
being polluted by cancer causing chemicals'? If not, you still couldn't have the windows open for
the smell! Again proposing this "baby metropolis" makes us feel the City doesn't care or maybe
the added revenue is what they're after'?

This and past issues makes us want to move. I received this proposal in the mail on Friday, May
25th before a holiday weekend. Many people won't even get ttu'ough theft' mail in time to realize
there is a meeting on June 5th.

We would like a wriuen response to our concerns and another meeting scheduled to allow us and
others to attend. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

14220 Dysprosium St. NW
Ramsey, MN 55303

-286-

I
I
I'
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
