-120- <br /> <br />· ORDINANCE NO. 01- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMI~NDM]~Nq' TO Ck!APTER 7 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE LICENSING AND PER.M_ITS <br />CHAPTER OF TI-i-E CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINqWESOTA. <br /> <br />An ordinance directing that Ordinance 98-02 be codified into Chapter 7 of the City, and amending <br />the following Sections of Ordinance 98-02: Section 2. DEFI2qlTIONS; Section 3. LICENSE; Section <br />6, PROHIBITED SALES; Section 8. SELF SERVICE SALES and Section t 1. OTHER ILLEGAL <br />ACTS. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION I. AMENDN~NT <br /> <br />A. Ordinance 98-02 is hereby codified to become Section 7.93 of the City Code. <br /> <br />Ordhnance 98-02, Section 2. DEFINITIONS AND iNTERPRETATIONS is amended by the <br />addition of a definition for the term "Exclusive Tobacco Store" which definition shall be as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Exclusive Tobacco Store - "Exclusive Tobacco Store" shall mean a retail store <br />wh/ch derives at least 90 percent of its revenue from Tobacco and Tobacco Products <br />and which cannot be entered at any time by persons younger than 18 years of age <br />except as provided herein. <br /> <br />Ordinance 98-02, Section 3. LICENSE is amended by the addition of Sabd. 9 Education <br />Requirements which new subdivision shall provide as follows: <br /> <br />Subd. 9. Education Requirements. <br /> <br />Prior to the issuance, annual renewal, and/or reinstatement after revocation <br />or suspension of any license, the owner o( manager of the licensee shall <br />participate in a two hour educational seminar presented and sponsored by the <br />City, which seminar shall be designed to educate and inform the licensee of <br />the City and State tobacco compliance laws. In addition, the licensee shall <br />be required to educate each new employee who will be setling tobacco or <br />tobacco products with regard to the requirements of this ordinance and State <br />law pertaining to the sale of tobacco products to minors. The licensee shall <br />be required to keep on file evidence of the employee educational session and <br />make available for review said evidence upon reasonable request by the City <br />Police Department. <br /> <br />D. Ordinance 98-02, Section 3., Subd. 7.
