(mezzanine construction) and AEC <br /> Engineering (inspection and construction oversight) contingent upon Verizon Inc. entering into a <br /> contract with the City to pay the proportional cost of their usage (estimated to be 20 to 25 <br /> percent). . <br /> Council Action: ~C,~ ¢ c~ 6fx~ U <br /> Motion by the City Council to ratify the recommendation of the Committee. <br /> <br /> Case #4: Public vs. Private Streets <br /> <br /> There has been a lot of discussion over the past few months regarding the use of private streets <br /> and whether or not we should allow them. A list of advantages and disadvantages along with a <br /> history of the use of private streets were disCussed. The consensus of the Committee was that the <br /> main road through the development absolutely needs to be public,,and built to City standards. <br /> There was some discussion on allowing the use of "street-like driveways for townhome <br /> developments. Other issues such as maintenance, police protection, setbacks, and performance <br /> standards were discussed. The Committee recommended that the issue be brought to the <br /> Planning Commission for a recommendation on their use. m ~ <br /> <br /> Motion by the City Council to ratify the recommendation of the Committee. <br /> <br /> Case #5: Stormwater Management Fee Consideration for Partial Improvements <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve Franta from Canvas Craft requested a partial reimbursement for his stormwater <br /> management fee that was collected during the site plan process for the addition to his existing <br /> building. The recommendation of the Committee was to forward the letter to the City Attorney <br /> for review and response. . <br /> <br /> Council Action: <br /> Motion by the City Council to ratify thee recommendation of the Committee. <br /> <br />-410- .~" <br /> <br /> <br />
