Apparently, our project manager, told him that safeU, fencing was not <br />necessary. The project plans and specifications were reviewed and signed by the appropriate <br />State-Aid officials With no-comment about safety-fencing along the proposed modular block <br />wall. It has since been determined that safety fencing is required. <br /> <br />Cost Increase: Based on preliminary discussions wieh Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, it has <br />been suggested that a decorative type of safety fencing would be installed along the modular <br />block wall following the roadway/bikeway on thFsouth side of the street except at the turtle wall <br />locations where safety fencing would not be installed. <br /> <br />While on the north side of the street, a vinyl chain link fence would be installed along the <br />modular block walls. <br />The following estimated unit costs were provided by the project contractor. <br /> <br />Decorative Fence (4.5' Tall Wrought Iron - No Spear Points): <br />825 ifx $43.00 = $35,475.00 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />! <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
