Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 9:26 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public heating to order at 9:26 p.m. <br />Presentation ,~¢%~': <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated that the City received an application :of Life Church <br />to rezone certain property located between Hwy. 47 and CSAH 5 (N n B19 ¢ B-1 <br />Business and R-3U Residential to Multiple Residential. He said he measured out the back of Ns prope~y line and it <br />looks ~ ~ough there will'need to be some site preparation in order to construct a 20 foot wide <br />dhve. He urged the Plmg Co~ission to take into account that the trees cabot stay and <br />have a 20 f00t ~ve,:: He'~brought up another issue of the tr~sition be~een single fmily homes <br />and multi family ~omes. He stated that ~pically there are tow~omes with less traffic, ~d then <br />a multi-family development that buffers a single fa~ly development. He suggested several <br />alternatives, with the first being to not allow the first phase of multi family uNts but proceed <br />with second phase first. ~other option would be to not allow any trees to be cut down, and find <br />a barter to keep noise away ~om single fmily homes.
