!
!

With the un-paved gravel rural ditch section option, the City pays none of the
street cost. The gravel optiqn would consist of constructing the streets to rural
sections with a 4 inch gravel surface. In addition, residents will be responsible
for the ongoing maintenance of gravel streets, which includes, replacement of
gravel as stated in the discussion of the dirt street and maintenance program.
Residents will also be responsible for dust control and grading as part of the
scheduled maintenance. The annual cost of the scheduled maintenance is
estimated to be approximately $70 per 100 foot lot per year

STORM DRAINAGE

Since this project is within an existing subdivision with existing streets, the cost of
the storm drainage will be paid from the City's Storm Water Utility Fund.

WATER & SEWER

The cost of the water and sanitary sewer will be paid with hookup fees at the time
of hookup. The City's current schedule of these hookup fees per hookup are:

Water: $1,285
$ 7,122

$ 8,407

TrUnk Connection Charge
Lateral Benefit Charge
Total

Sewer: $ 577
$ 3,2OO

$ 3,777

Trunk Connection Charge
Lateral Benefit Charge
Total

Total Water & Sewer Hobkup Charges: $ 12,184'

*Residence will be subject to SAC ($1,465) and WAC ($1,350) charges at time of
hookup.

SHARED BENEFITS

This report will also discuss the shared benefit or relationship of these
improvements with two adjacent project areas, which are the subject of separate
feasibility reports. The commonality of the proposed improvements in all three
project areas create the desire to schedule all three projects for construction, at
the same time period, possibly resulting in reduced construction cost.

One'of the projects is the currently undeveloped area west of this subdivision
referred to as" South of City Hall Campus" in previous staff reports and as
"Helium Street Extension-C.O.R. Project No. 02-20" in a separate feasibility
report.

The other project is the residential subdivision southwest of this subdivision
referred to as "Pondvale Estates- C.O.R. Project No. 02-22" in its separate
feasibility report.

Page 2
G:\MunicipaltARAM SEY\633\RA633FSR2.doc

-203-
