William Tanski, 15781 Lithium Street NW, Ramsey, inquired as to the reasons the first proposal <br />was rejected by the City <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that parts of the swale included on the plan were flatter than <br />one percent and the second reason the plan was rejected was that once the water left their <br />property and went to the north there was no capacity included within the plan. He noted that <br />Staff pointed out the deficiencies of the plan to Orrin Thompson Homes and requested that they <br />do an analysis and submit a revised plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Tanski questioned when the residents can expect to hear some feedback in regards to the <br />revised plan. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that they currently have been unable to review the plan with any <br />detail since the plan was just received. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly inquired if any of the residents have had any conversations with Orrin <br />Thompson Homes. <br /> <br />Kristine Booth, 15791 Lithium Street NW, Ramsey, stated that she had a conversation recently <br />with Orrin Thompson homes and was told the first plan submitted to the City was rejected and <br />that they are working on revising the plan to be acceptable to the City. She also noted that she <br />has requested pictures from Orrin Thompson Homes as to how the regarding, might affect their <br />property and none have been received. <br /> <br />Mary Weiss, 15780 Krypton Court NW, Ramsey, noted that because the house is placed two feet <br />lower their front yard is also affected. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen replied that it is noticeable that the house is set at a different level, <br />but the Cities main concern is how to resolve the drainage issue of the whole area. <br /> <br />Ryan Weiss, 15780 Krypton Court NW, Ramsey, explained that the issue with their front yard is <br />that the water from the front drains into the backyard, <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman noted that he had visited the property in August after it had been <br />raining and noticed that water was standing in the backyard. <br /> <br />Ms. Booth stated that Bill Pritchard, Orrin Thompson Homes, had told her that the residents will <br />receive a copy of the proposal, but to them it doesn't do much since they don't know what it all <br />means. Her biggest concern is knowing what her property will look like after the grading is <br />completed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman informed the residents that they are welcome to attend any of the <br />Public Works or City Council meetings to discuss their concerns. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/November 16, 1999 <br /> Page 2 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
