City Engineer Jankowski replied that it would not provide reasonable drainage to the other
affected property owners.

Mr. Dillon replied that he is already proposing a 54-inch pipe under the railroad track.

Councilmember Hendriksen replied that an informational meeting took place among the affected
property owners and the plan being presented came from that meeting.

Mr. Dillon replied that was correct, but the recommendation was for the pipe to run on the north
side of the railroad track.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that it could be done, but they would still have to pay for the
crossing under the track.

Mr. Dillon replied that he would pay for it when he would need the drainage.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that they would be disturbing two areas of land by running
piping along both sides of the track.

Mr. Dillon replied that the problem is on the other side of the tracks.

City Engineer Jankowski stated that pavement, curbing and gutters would be disturbed on the
north side of the track.

Mr. Dillon replied that it is the best way to resolve the issue for everyone.

Winslow Holosek, 6205 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey, stated that he was given a total project cost
of $391,000, but was not given a breakdown of the costs. He inquired as to how much of the
cost is to place the 54-inch pipe under the tracks.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that he would have to research the information further.

Mr. Holosek inquired if the Business Park is being assessed for any of the storm sewer.

City Engineer Jamkowski explained that the City installed the storm sewer and other
improvements in Business Park 95 and then sold the property to other businesses.

Mr. Holosek questioned if there is a storm sewer layout for the Business Park.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that the Business Park was developed in seven or eight different
plats.

Mr. Holosek stated that there was no overall drainage plan for the Business Park.

City Council/February 22, 2000

I
I
I
!
I
I
I
I,
!
I
!
I
!
!
!
!
