I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey stated that he feels the biggest issue is traffic, but thinks the City could <br />come up with other options. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen inquired if it would be possible to reverse the Argon cul-de-sac to make it <br />accessible from the private drive. <br /> <br />Mr. Bulow replied that he would prefer to reverse the cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen stated that she would like to avoid any connection to the existing <br />deyelopment because of the traffic concerns. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson stated if the land was to be developed commercial they would look at <br />who was directly affected by headlights and questioned if it would be possible to construct some <br />type of barrier to eliminate some of the lighting being directed into the existing homes. <br /> <br />Mr. Bulow replied yes explaining that he had already plan to do so. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that Public Works would be opposed to leaving the streets in the <br />existing neighborhood as they are currently are, they would like to seem them completed in some <br />sort of fashion. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nixt replied that the streets have been that way for fourteen years and questioned <br />if there was an overriding safety issue that has not existed in the past. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the City did not have the option for fourteen years, but <br />always anticipated the streets continuing. The only safety issue would be with plowing the <br />streets. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nixt inquired if it is adequate to have only one access to the development for the <br />fire and police. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that they would prefer to have two accesses. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen suggested extending the right-in right-out access from C.R. #116 to <br />accommodate the entire site. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson suggested terminating Barium Street in such a way that emergency <br />vehicles could access the site, but not be used as a through street. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that anything that would allow an emergency 'vehicle to go <br />through with minimal damage would also allow cars to do the same. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/March 20, 2000 <br /> Page 10 of 15 <br /> ; <br /> <br />215 <br /> <br /> <br />
