Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF JON PEARSON TO FULL- TIME PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER WHEREAS, the Council approved the process to hire a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker on January 11, 2000; and WHEREAS, staff went through a hiring process where twenty eight applications were received and twelve candidates were interviewed by a panel on April 5 and April 6, 2000; and WHEREAS, Jon Pearson was recommended as the panel's first choice. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to hire Jon Pearson for the full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker position effective 4/12/00. 2) That in his new position as a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker, Mr. Pearson will be compensated at an am~ual rate of $24,794 with two weeks of vacation and be required to complete a six month probationary period. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of May 2000.
