Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF JOANN SHAW TO FULL- <br /> TIME COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SECRETARY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council gave authorization to hire Tara Olson as the full-time <br />Public Works Secretary on June 13, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a vacancy was created in Community Development and Council <br />authorized the process to hire a Community Development Secretary on June 13, 2000; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the position was posted internally and one letter of interest was <br />received from JoAnn Shaw; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Shaw was interviewed by the Community Development <br />Director and Human Resources Manager on June 27, 2000, and was recommended to the <br />Personnel Committee to fill the full-time Community Development Secretary position. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to hire JoAnn Shaw for the full-time Community <br />Development Secretary position. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Ms. Shaw will be compensated at her existing rate of $26,608 with two <br />weeks of vacation and be required to complete a six month probationary period. <br />Ms. Shaw has already undergone background and reference checks. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 11th day of July 2000. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
