Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF JOANN SHAW TO FULL- TIME COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SECRETARY WHEREAS, City Council gave authorization to hire Tara Olson as the full-time Public Works Secretary on June 13, 2000; and WHEREAS, a vacancy was created in Community Development and Council authorized the process to hire a Community Development Secretary on June 13, 2000; and WHEREAS, the position was posted internally and one letter of interest was received from JoAnn Shaw; and WHEREAS, Ms. Shaw was interviewed by the Community Development Director and Human Resources Manager on June 27, 2000, and was recommended to the Personnel Committee to fill the full-time Community Development Secretary position. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to hire JoAnn Shaw for the full-time Community Development Secretary position. 2) That Ms. Shaw will be compensated at her existing rate of $26,608 with two weeks of vacation and be required to complete a six month probationary period. Ms. Shaw has already undergone background and reference checks. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 11th day of July 2000.
