CASE # <br /> <br />ADOPT ORDINAzN'CE TO CONVEY REMN.4aNT OF L.4~ND <br /> FOR TITLE CLEARANCE PURPOSES <br /> By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />This proposed ordinance was introduced at the Council's meeting on November 28, 2000. It is now <br />elig-ible for adoption. The purpose for the ordinance is to allow the City to convey a small parcel of <br />land that is necessary to clear title to a part of Azurite Street. The e~sting legal description for that <br />part of Azufite Street NW lying between Ferrum Second Addition and the ACE Solid Waste, Inc. <br />site contains errors, in that it creates gaps and overlaps. In order to resolve these issues, the <br />respective landowners have ag'reed to exchange quit claim deeds. The City will receive deeds for <br />certain remnant parcels and we will need to give two deeds.
