t Metropolitan Council Local Planning Handbook 1 Section 5 Water Resources Management <br />Septic system <br />management <br />Additional information is required from municipalities that use <br />wastewater treatment alternatives other than the regional system. <br />Included in this list are municipalities with systems described by one <br />or more of the following: <br />• Septic systems or individual sewage treatment systems. <br />(Handbook, page 5 -9) <br />• Community treatment systems such as package treatment <br />plants and municipal drainfields.
