Norman, City Administrator <br />Dean Kapler, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br /> <br />The Anoka County Parks Department is in the process of submitting revisions for approval of the <br />Regional Trail Plan of Metropolitan Council's Parks and Open Space Commission. The trail <br />along County Road #116 has been lobbied for"by the cities of Ramsey and Anoka for many <br />years. This is shown on the inserted map ag the Central Anoka County Regional Trail, beginning <br />at Mississippi West Park, traversing east past Bunker Hills into Ham Lake. <br /> <br />Anoka County is asking Ramsey's City Council to support the addition of the Central Anoka___L4~oq <br /> · · 1~ <br />County Trail into the regional system by ~ a resolutmn, t~ s'~,~upport o£ this trail ~vill <br />not obligate Ramsey to provide funding for construction o~r'operationt~and mainten~ce) <br />Adoption of the trail by Metropolitan Council will, however, make it eligible for funding by this <br />same entity. <br /> <br />A resolution supporting the trail is attached. If City Council desires further discussion on this <br />matter, they may ~?c./~. have it brought back to the February 9, 1999 meeting.
