Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Ordinance #03-29 to rezone the subject property from R-1 Single Family Residential to R-2 Medium Density Residential. Case #17: Report from the Personnel Committee The Personnel Committee met on July 22, 2003 to discuss the following cases: 1) Consider Ending Probationary Period for Paid On-Call Fire Fighter The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution #03-07- 190 ending the probationary period and granting status as a paid on-call fire fighter to Johns Bromen, effective July 23, 2003. 2) Introduction of an Ordinance Amending Chapter 3.20, Personnel Policy, to Allow the City of Ramsey Police Department to Conduct Criminal Background Investigations The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council introduce an ordinance to amend Chapter 3.20 of the City Code, titled "Personnel Policy" by the addition of a second titled "Criminal History Background Investigations." 3) Consider Authorization to Reopen Recruitment Process for a Civil Engineer II The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council authorize staff to re-open the recruitment process for the Civil Engineer II position and that the maximum salary be increased by $2,500.
